O encontro de auscultação e reflexão foi promovido pela Fundação para o Desenvolvimento da Comunidade e juntou líderes religiosos e comunitários da província de Manica para reflectir e definir melhores abordagens de promoção da saúde pública.

Com o processo de auscultação, a FDC pretende captar sensibilidades e comprometimento dos na prevenção de HIV/SIDA e Malária e garantir a este grupo o sentido de pertença aos mais variados programas que a FDC implementa na comunidade.

”As redes mosquiteiras são a salvação, mas acontece que elas só salvam quando estamos em casa. Muitos de nós, principalmente neste período chuvoso, somos picados por mosquitos causadores de malária quando estamos na machamba. E acreditamos que, apesar das nossas comunidades disporem de meios de prevenção da malária – a sensibilização ainda é um desafio oportuno”, disse um dos líderes.

Referir que no âmbito do programa de saúde, a FDC trabalha em todas as províncias do País, cobrindo 112 distritos dos 154 em todo o país, em projectos de saúde comunitária (prevenção do HIV e da malária) que alcançou, só em 2018, cerca de 500 mil adolescentes, jovens e mulheres.
